Saints Row The Third Remastered marks the latest re-release of a THQ game from Deep Silver. But the Saints are back and it’s time to see how time has treated them. Now, it’s been over five years since the last Saints Row title ( Agents of Mayhem doesn’t count) and nearly a decade since The Third originally released. While the series did indeed start as a humble GTA ripoff, it grew into something far more absurd, irreverent, and wonderfully childish.

After experiencing Saints Row’s brand of insanity, I played the original game, the sequel, and then went on to play Saints Row IV and Gat Out of Hell when they were released. Skipping over the first two games, I assumed they were simple Grand Theft Auto clones but The Third looked like something else. Saints Row The Third was the first game in the franchise that I ever played. The fighting is going to ramp up here, and you'll need to be prepared.īut wait.***There are spoilers for Saints Row The Third in this review*** Once your weapons are upgraded, you'll want to focus on upgrading your total health and health regeneration rates. Remember to upgrade your weapons as fully as possible and keep full ammo stocks between every mission.

So, avoid the Saints Book, and just concentrate on buying properties or doing Activities if you really want to add to your controlled hoods. However, because Steelport is under martial law from here on out - which means that STAG is absolutely everywhere and you're almost always under at least one-star notoriety with the cops - it'll be unnecessarily dangerous and complicated to do any diversions. If you have Activities you haven't done yet, or you still have neighborhoods to take over, now would be a good time to do it so you keep the cash rolling in. You're almost done with the campaign of Saints Row: The Third, and STAG's invasion of Steelport can't go without resistance.
